MICE (Incentives & Group Travel)
FMCG Company Running Regional Sales Incentive Trip
Background
A regional FMCG company arranged an annual incentive trip for its top-performing sales managers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with around 60 participants traveling to Europe for a four-night incentive experience.
The company wanted the trip to feel both rewarding and well-organized, while still keeping the budget under control and maintaining transparency.
The Requirement
The client needed a partner who could manage group flights, hotel contracting, transfers, and scheduled activities while keeping the process simple and financially clear. The emphasis was focused on participant experience and smooth execution rather than cost savings alone.
What Utravel Delivered
Utravel coordinated group air travel, negotiated hotel group rates, and arranged ground transfers and scheduled activities. All costs were presented in a fully itemized format, with a clearly defined management fee.
Utravel also managed attendee communications, including flight details, hotel confirmations, and daily schedules, reducing the need for internal coordination.
Reflecting on incentive travel, Nabil Abu Alrub, Director General, said, “Incentive trips have experience and morale at the heart of them. When logistics are handled properly, the impact of the trip is felt positively by staff long after it ends.”
Results
The program was delivered without disruptions. Group travel was coordinated smoothly, and the attendance rate was 100 percent across all arranged and scheduled activities.
Budget variance remained within a narrow range, and post-trip reconciliation was completed quickly due to clear documentation and consolidated billing.
Client Impact
Participants reported a positive, well-organized experience, which was an important key performance indicator for the project.
Additionally, the client’s HR and sales leadership teams reported spending significantly less time managing logistics and follow-ups compared to previous incentive trips – proving a beneficial service for all.
